Adenta is a municipality in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, on the northern side of the capital's metropolitan area. From above, it is a patchwork of residential neighbourhoods, planned estates and newer development, where the street pattern changes from one area to the next.
Main roads connect Adenta to central Accra and to the towns further north, and the built-up area continues outward along them. Some estates follow a regular grid, while other neighbourhoods have more irregular streets that follow older paths and plot boundaries, giving the map a varied texture.
