River Raisin curves
The river threads through town in wide, irregular bends. It is the one natural line on the map that ignores the grid, and it gives the whole composition its movement.

Adrian Map Poster & Print
Adrian sits in southeastern Michigan as the seat of Lenawee County, and from above it reads as a compact Midwestern town shaped by water. The River Raisin winds through it in loose curves. The straight streets of the older center press up against those curves, and the grid gives way to looser residential blocks and farmland at the edges.
Two institutions stand out on the map. Adrian College and Siena Heights University each hold their own patch of open ground, with quads, paths and playing fields that break the rhythm of the surrounding houses. These green rectangles give the drawing a second centre of gravity, away from the commercial blocks downtown.
An Adrian map poster keeps all of this in plain line work. The river becomes a single flowing stroke, the main roads carry a slightly heavier weight, and the small residential streets fill the space between them in fine texture. The result is a quiet portrait of a place many people know as home, a college town or a stop on the way somewhere else.

Two college campuses
Adrian College and Siena Heights University appear as open blocks of lawn and paths, easy to spot among the tighter residential streets around them.
Farmland at the edge
Past the last residential blocks the streets thin out quickly into long rural roads, so the town reads as a clear, contained shape on the page.

For alumni of either college, the map is a record of the years spent between lecture halls and the river. For families rooted in Lenawee County, it is simply home, drawn clearly enough to recognise at a glance.
You can set your own title and subtitle, add a meaningful date to the coordinates line, and choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand to suit the room it will hang in.
