Affton is an unincorporated community in St. Louis County, Missouri, just southwest of the city of St. Louis. It developed mostly in the mid twentieth century, and its map is a close pattern of residential streets with small houses on regular lots, broken by schools, churches and parks.
Gravois Road, one of the old routes out of St. Louis, runs diagonally through the area and carries much of its commercial life. Interstates and major highways mark its outer edges, and streets change direction where older farm roads and subdivisions met.
