Ajax Map Poster & Print
Ajax sits on the north shore of Lake Ontario, in Durham Region, and its southern edge is almost entirely waterfront. The shoreline here is lined with parkland and a long waterfront trail, so the map shows a calm, continuous edge where the suburban streets stop short of the lake and give way to open green space.
The town takes its name from HMS Ajax, a Royal Navy cruiser that fought at the Battle of the River Plate in 1939. Ajax grew around a wartime munitions plant, and many of its streets are named after members of the ship's crew, a tribute that makes the street names on an Ajax map poster unusually meaningful.
Highway 401 cuts across the town from east to west, separating the lakeside neighbourhoods from the newer subdivisions to the north. Creek valleys, including Duffins Creek, run south towards the lake, carving green, wooded corridors through the residential grid and giving the map its gentle, natural divisions.

Named for a warship
Ajax is named after HMS Ajax, and many streets honour the ship's crew, a naval memorial written directly into the town's map.
Creek valleys
Duffins Creek and other small valleys cut south through the suburbs towards the lake, forming wooded green corridors between neighbourhoods.

ለምን Ajax
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
Ajax is home to many families who value being close to both Toronto and the lake. A map of the town, with the shoreline and creek valleys clearly visible, is a calm, personal piece for a hallway, office or child's room.
Write your own title and subtitle, adjust the coordinates line, and pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A subtitle naming your street, perhaps named for one of the Ajax crew, adds a nice detail.
