Ambāh is a town in Morena district, in the far north of Madhya Pradesh. This is the Chambal region. The Chambal River runs to the north, and over time erosion has carved the land near it into an extensive maze of ravines. On a map, the town is a compact knot of streets surrounded by flat farmland.
