Baohe is a small town in Chongqing, the vast municipality in southwestern China best known for its steep terrain. On a map it reads the way many towns here do. This part of Chongqing lies on the eastern edge of the Sichuan Basin. Long, parallel ridges run roughly northeast to southwest, with farmed valleys between them.
