Hill fort
The fortified heights above the town form the strongest shape on the map, a rocky edge that marks where the lanes stop and the open ground begins.

Bayāna Map Poster & Print
Bayāna sits in eastern Rajasthan, where the flat farmland around Bharatpur meets a line of low rocky hills. From above, the town reads as a tight core of narrow lanes pressed against high ground, with roads leaving it for nearby villages and fields. The hills carry the old fortifications, and the steep ground behind the houses shows up clearly against the smooth plain.
The town has a long past. It was an important stronghold in the medieval period, and in 1946 a large hoard of Gupta-era gold coins was found near Bayāna, one of the best-known coin finds in India. Under the Mughals the district was also known for its indigo. On a map, that age shows as dense, irregular streets rather than any planned grid.
A Bayāna map poster keeps the contrast between the knotted old centre and the wide agricultural land around it. The ridge, the lanes and the long rural roads come out as linework, a quiet view of a place whose importance lasted well beyond its size.

Old town lanes
The centre is a close web of narrow, irregular streets, laid down over centuries rather than planned, and it prints as a dark knot of fine lines.
Farmland roads
Straight rural roads and field tracks spread across the level plain toward neighbouring villages, giving the poster light, open space around the dense core.
