Five Rise Locks
The famous lock staircase lifts the Leeds and Liverpool Canal sharply up the valley side. On the map it shows as a short, steep step in the waterway just outside the centre.

Bingley Map Poster & Print
Bingley lies in Airedale in West Yorkshire, between Keighley and Shipley, where the valley narrows and the moors climb steeply on both sides. From above, the town stretches along its transport lines. The River Aire meanders across the valley floor, while the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the railway keep straighter courses beside it.
The canal gives Bingley its best-known landmark, the Five Rise Locks. This staircase of five chambers lifts boats up the hillside and is often described as the steepest flight of its kind in Britain. The Three Rise Locks nearby make a smaller step. Stone terraces climb the slopes above, and Myrtle Park opens a green space beside the river.
A Bingley map poster captures the layered geometry of a Pennine mill town. Water, rail and road run in parallel, the centre is dense on the valley floor, and terraced streets thin out as the ground rises toward the moor. It is a satisfying map for anyone who has walked the towpath or grown up among these hills.

River Aire meanders
The river loops freely across the flat valley floor, in contrast to the disciplined lines of the canal and railway running beside it.
Hillside terraces
Rows of stone houses follow the contours of the slopes above the town. They form long parallel streets that fade into open moor at the edges of the poster.

ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
Bingley is a place of towpath walks, canal boats and steep streets. A map of it suits families who have moved away, people who live here now and anyone who knows Airedale well. The mix of water and terraces makes an image that is detailed but still calm.
