Bolesławiec Map Poster & Print
Bolesławiec stands on the Bóbr River in Lower Silesia, in south-western Poland. The historic centre keeps its medieval shape: a rectangular market square with the town hall in the middle, ringed by short, tightly packed streets. A green belt marks the line where the town walls once stood, and newer districts spread out beyond it.
The town is famous across the world for its pottery. Stoneware from Bolesławiec, with its blue stamped patterns, has been made here for centuries and is still produced by local workshops. The other landmark is the railway viaduct over the Bóbr, a long stone structure from the 1840s and one of the largest of its kind in Europe.
A Bolesławiec map poster combines these features in a satisfying way. The compact old town with its square, the curve of the river and the straight line of the railway crossing it make a balanced composition. For collectors of the pottery and for people from the town, it is a fitting companion piece.

Bóbr railway viaduct
The long nineteenth-century stone viaduct carries the railway across the river valley. On the poster it is a strong straight line cutting across the water.
Former wall line
A ring of green and roads traces the old fortifications, giving the historic centre a clear outline against the later districts.
