Broadview Heights is in southern Cuyahoga County, about fifteen miles south of downtown Cleveland. From above, the city has a green, subdivided pattern. Winding residential streets and cul-de-sacs sit among patches of woodland, and a few main roads cut straight through on the old survey lines.
Interstate 77 runs through the area on a north–south line, the strongest mark on the map. Around it, the original rural road grid is still visible as long straight routes. The newer neighbourhoods fill the spaces between them with loops and curves, broken up by wooded stream valleys that run toward the Cuyahoga River.
