Budhlāda is a town in Mansa district in southern Punjab, set on the wide, level plain of the Malwa region. From above, the town is a compact grid of market streets and residential lanes, with the railway line cutting across it and roads extending toward neighbouring towns across the farmland.
The landscape around is almost perfectly flat and intensively cultivated, and field boundaries and canals give the surrounding space a faint, regular texture.
