Buturlinovka Map Poster & Print
Buturlinovka lies in the southeast of Voronezh Oblast, on the Osered River, in the black-earth steppe of southern Russia. The town was founded in the eighteenth century as a settlement on land belonging to Count Buturlin, from whom it takes its name. On a map it shows an unusually regular plan of long, parallel streets and large rectangular blocks.
This broad grid, typical of the large rural settlements of the region, gives Buturlinovka a clear, open structure. The Osered winds along one side of the town, with its floodplain and ponds forming a softer, irregular edge. Around it lies wide farmland on some of the most fertile soils in Russia.
A Buturlinovka map poster highlights the contrast between the disciplined geometry of the streets and the natural curves of the river. It is a spacious composition that reads well from a distance, and its regular pattern suits the Blueprint style as well as classic black and white.
