Cambrils is a coastal town in the province of Tarragona in Catalonia, on the Costa Daurada. It began as a fishing village, and the working harbour still sits at the centre of its seafront. From above the town stretches along a gently curving shoreline, with beaches running in both directions from the port.
Cambrils is known for its fishing tradition and for seafood, and restaurants line the waterfront near the harbour. Inland, the old centre sits a little back from the sea, while newer residential areas and holiday developments fill the space along the coast toward the neighbouring town of Salou.
