Central grid
The heart of Cariamanga follows a regular pattern of blocks around a central square, a structure that remains clear on the map even where slopes bend the streets.

Cariamanga Map Poster & Print
Cariamanga is the main town of Calvas canton in the province of Loja, in the far south of Ecuador near the Peruvian border. It sits in the Andes, surrounded by steep green slopes and valleys, and its streets are laid out across uneven ground. On a map the town appears as a grid adapted to the terrain, with blocks stretching and bending where the land rises.
Above the town rises the Ahuaca, a large rock formation that dominates the local skyline and is a familiar landmark for anyone from the area. The town is also a commercial centre for the surrounding rural parishes, where farming on the mountain slopes shapes both the landscape and daily life. Roads wind out of Cariamanga toward these communities and toward Loja.
A Cariamanga map poster balances order and relief. The central grid, organised around a main square as in many Andean towns, gives the town a structured heart, while the winding roads and mountain setting loosen the pattern at the edges. The effect in black and white is a small Andean town drawn with clarity, framed by the high ground that defines it.

Ahuaca rock
The great rock outcrop near the town is its best-known natural feature. On a street map it sits beyond the built-up area, part of the high ground framing the town.
Mountain roads
Roads leave Cariamanga in curves and bends, following valleys and ridges toward rural parishes and the provincial capital, drawing long winding lines across the poster.
