Cedar Falls Map Poster & Print
Cedar Falls sits on the Cedar River in north-east Iowa, beside its larger neighbour Waterloo. The river runs through the northern part of the city, and the historic downtown lies just south of it, where Main Street runs as a straight spine through blocks of brick buildings. The falls that gave the town its name once powered its early mills.
South of downtown, the regular Midwestern grid spreads out, broken by the campus of the University of Northern Iowa, with its quads, lawns and curving paths. Along the river, parks, trails and floodplain land form a green band. Newer neighbourhoods and business parks extend west and south, where the grid meets farmland and the flat Iowa prairie begins.
A Cedar Falls map poster shows the river, the downtown spine, the campus and the neighbourhoods in one clear view. It is a natural gift for UNI graduates, for families who grew up here, and for anyone who has walked along Main Street or cycled the river trails. The regular grid and the river curve make a balanced composition.
