Chilibre Map Poster & Print
Chilibre is a corregimiento in the district of Panamá, north of Panama City, along the Transístmica highway that crosses the isthmus towards Colón. On a map it takes the shape of a long corridor, with housing and businesses lining the highway and neighbourhoods branching off it into the surrounding hills.
To the north and east lies the watershed of the Chagres River, including Lake Alajuela and the forests of Chagres National Park, which protect much of the water supply for the Panama Canal. The contrast between the built-up corridor and this large green area is the defining feature of the map.
A Chilibre map poster shows a place in transition between city and forest, where the urban edge meets one of Panama's most important natural areas. A wider framing takes in the lake and river; a closer one focuses on the streets along the highway.

Chagres watershed
The forested lands of the Chagres River basin lie beyond the community, forming a large open area on the map that frames the built-up corridor.
Lake Alajuela
The reservoir on the Chagres River, which supports the Panama Canal's water supply, appears on wider framings as an irregular shape among the forested hills.
