Chisasa Map Poster & Print
Chisasa is a settlement in the North-Western Province of Zambia, a region of plateau woodland, rivers and a growing mining economy. The map shows a modest built-up area, where roads and tracks radiate out from a central cluster and fade into the bush around it.
North-Western Province is one of the more sparsely populated parts of Zambia, and settlements like Chisasa are often spread out rather than dense. Houses and compounds sit along dirt roads, and the space between them is as much a part of the map as the roads themselves. The terrain is fairly flat, cut by streams that drain toward the region's larger rivers.
A Chisasa map poster is minimal by nature: a handful of main routes, a scatter of smaller tracks, and a lot of open space. That emptiness gives the poster a calm, graphic quality, especially in black and white, and makes it a personal record of a place few maps show in detail.

Open woodland
Wide stretches of undeveloped land surround the settlement, leaving plenty of blank space that gives the design a spare, airy look.
Plateau streams
Small watercourses cross the flat plateau, adding thin lines that follow the gentle drainage of the landscape.
