Chone Map Poster
Chone lies inland in the Ecuadorian province of Manabí, on the Chone River, which flows west toward the estuary at Bahía de Caráquez. On the map, the river winds past the town. A fairly regular grid of streets sits on the flat valley floor, and low hills rise around the edges. There, the pattern loosens into scattered roads and farmland.
The Chone valley is agricultural country, with cattle ranching and crops on the humid lowlands of coastal Ecuador. The town serves as a market centre for the surrounding area. Its layout is practical: a central grid close to the river, with roads spreading out along the valley and up into the surrounding hills.
A Chone map poster pairs a steady urban grid with the meander of the river and the softer lines of the hills. The result is balanced and calm, a portrait of a working valley town. Printed in black and white, it keeps the details that matter to people from here without clutter.

Central grid
The core of Chone is laid out in regular blocks on level ground. It forms the densest, most orderly part of the poster.
Surrounding hills
Toward the edges of the frame, roads begin to bend and thin as the land rises. They trace the hills that enclose the valley.
