Loup and Platte
Two rivers join just south and east of town. Their wide, braided channels create one of the most distinctive textures on the map.

Columbus sits in east-central Nebraska, close to where the Loup River flows into the Platte. From above it reads as a classic Plains town. Numbered streets and avenues form a steady grid, railroad tracks cut across it, and the braided channels of the rivers run along its southern edge. Settlers from Columbus, Ohio founded the town in 1856 and named it after their home.
On the map the grid gives way at the edges. To the south, sandbars and channels in the river create an irregular, woven texture. To the north there are newer subdivisions with curving streets and a few lakes. Pawnee Park sits between the town and the Loup as a green break in the pattern.
A Columbus map poster captures that meeting of order and river. The straight lines of the town contrast with the loose water shapes beside it. Columbus is also the birthplace of Andrew Jackson Higgins, whose landing craft were used in the Second World War, a detail that local history remembers with some pride.

ለምን Columbus
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
Columbus is the kind of place people carry with them after they move away: the grid they learned to drive on, the river road, the park by the water. A framed map keeps that geography close and reads well in any room.
Add your own title, a subtitle such as a year or a family name, and the coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the room.
