Darazo is a town in Bauchi State in northeastern Nigeria and the seat of the local government area of the same name. The surrounding country is Sudan savanna: wide, fairly flat land with scattered trees, farmland and seasonal watercourses that fill during the rains and shrink in the dry months.
From above, the town is a dense core of compounds and narrow lanes. A few wider roads leave it in different directions and connect it to neighbouring settlements and the rest of the state. As the map moves outward, the built area breaks up into smaller clusters and field tracks.
