Bend of the Adour
The river sweeps through town in a wide curve and separates the historic centre from the north bank. Its water surface gives the poster a strong, flowing line.

Dax Map Poster & Print
Dax sits on the Adour in the Landes département of south-west France, where the river curves through a flat landscape of meadows and pine forest. The historic centre lies on the south bank, a compact knot of streets that later neighbourhoods have grown around. Bridges tie it to the suburb on the opposite bank.
The town is known above all for its thermal waters. The Fontaine Chaude, a steaming hot spring basin in the centre, has drawn visitors since Roman times, and Dax remains one of France's leading spa towns. Stretches of its old defensive walls survive, and a Dax map poster traces the tighter streets they once enclosed.
Dax also has a bullring and hosts a summer feria, which ties it to the traditions of Gascony and the Basque country nearby. On the map the curve of the Adour, the riverside parks and the ring of boulevards around the old core make a clear, balanced composition.

Old town core
On the south bank a tight tangle of streets marks the former walled town. It contrasts with the looser, more regular neighbourhoods that grew up beyond it.
Riverside green
Parks and open land along the Adour, including the flood meadows, open space around the centre and soften the edges of the street network.

ለምን Dax
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
Dax means different things to different people: a cure at the spa, summers at the feria, or a family base in the Landes. A map of its river bend and old centre keeps that connection in a calm, graphic form.
You can add your own title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with the year of a visit, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
