Devi Tekri hill
The temple-topped hill rises in the middle of town. Its winding approach paths and ropeway make it the most distinctive feature on the map.

Dewas Map Poster & Print
Dewas lies on the Malwa plateau in western Madhya Pradesh, about 35 kilometres northeast of Indore. The city's plan centres on a steep hill in the middle of town, the Tekri, crowned by temples to the goddesses Chamunda and Tulja Bhavani. Streets of the old town cluster around its base, while newer colonies and industrial areas stretch out along the main roads.
Dewas has an unusual history. It was once divided between two princely states, a senior and a junior branch of the same ruling family, each with its own palace and administration. Today it is also known for its Bank Note Press, one of the places where India's currency is printed, and for a large industrial area along the Agra–Bombay road.
A Dewas map poster makes the Tekri the natural centre of attention, a rounded shape with winding paths that the streets seem to orbit. Around it the city settles onto the flat plateau, with straight highways and industrial blocks toward the edges. The result is a compact, well-balanced composition.

Old town streets
At the foot of the hill, the older quarters form a dense tangle of lanes and markets, shaped by centuries of growth around the shrine and the palaces.
Highway industrial belt
The Agra–Bombay road and other main routes run past the city, lined with factories and warehouses that appear as larger, regular blocks at the edges.
