Growth along the roads
Like many towns in the region, the settlement is organised along its main roads. Side streets branch off from them, so a clear central line anchors the composition.

Djapadji Map Poster & Print
Djapadji lies in the Bas-Sassandra District of south-western Ivory Coast, a region of humid forest, plantations and scattered towns linked by long roads. On the map it appears as a settlement that grew up around its main routes. The centre, where trade and daily life gather, is denser, and looser residential areas extend outward into the surrounding green.
The wider region is one of the country's important farming areas, where cocoa and other tree crops shape the land between settlements. The pattern is clear from above. Roads and tracks run out from town toward fields and villages, and the built area gradually gives way to cultivated land instead of ending at a sharp edge.
A Djapadji map poster records the place in simple line work. Unpaved lanes and main roads are drawn with equal clarity. The street pattern follows the land and how it is used rather than a formal plan, and that gives the composition a character of its own. This is a map for people who know the town firsthand and want it shown with care.

Organic street pattern
Lanes and paths follow plot boundaries and the lie of the land instead of a strict grid. The result is an irregular, hand-drawn texture that works well in black and white.
Farmland at the edges
Beyond the houses, tracks lead out into cultivated land and forest, so the built area fades gradually into open space toward the edges of the frame.
