Plateau old town
The historic centre fills the top of the hill in a tight, elongated block. Its edges are set by the cliffs rather than by walls or roads.

Enna Map Poster & Print
Enna stands on a high plateau near the geographic centre of Sicily, at roughly 930 metres, which makes it the highest provincial capital in Italy. Its nickname, the belvedere of Sicily, comes from its views across the interior. On a map the old city is a dense, elongated mass of streets on top of the hill, with switchback roads climbing up from below.
At the eastern end of the plateau stands the Castello di Lombardia, one of the largest medieval castles on the island. Beyond it is the Rocca di Cerere, a rock associated with the ancient cult of Demeter. To the south lies Lake Pergusa, linked in myth to the abduction of Persephone and now circled by a motor racing track.
An Enna map poster brings the plateau and its surroundings together. The main street runs along the ridge, side lanes drop sharply toward the edges, and winding roads trace the slopes. Frame it wider and Lake Pergusa appears as a neat oval ringed by its circuit, an unusual shape to find on a map of the Sicilian interior.

Castello di Lombardia
The castle occupies the eastern end of the plateau, a large irregular enclosure where the city meets its steepest drop.
Lake Pergusa circuit
South of the city, Lake Pergusa sits in a basin surrounded by a racing circuit, an oval within an oval that stands out clearly in black and white.

ለምን Enna
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
Enna appeals to people who know Sicily beyond the coast: those who studied at its university, have family in the province or remember the view from the castle. The hilltop outline is dramatic even for those who have never been.
Add a title and subtitle, perhaps a family name or the year of a trip, and adjust the coordinates line if you like. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper suits the old stone town particularly well.
