Compact town centre
The main streets and buildings cluster tightly in the middle of the map. That creates a dense area of detail against the open land around it.

Fangcun Map Poster & Print
Fangcun is a town in the north of Jiangsu province in eastern China, in the Xuzhou area. From above, it sits on a wide, level plain divided into rectangular fields, with straight roads and irrigation channels running across the countryside and the built-up area gathered around a few main streets.
This part of northern Jiangsu is agricultural, and much of the land around towns such as Fangcun is carefully farmed. Villages and small towns dot the plain at fairly regular intervals and are linked by roads that often run in straight lines across the fields. Over recent decades many of these settlements have grown quickly.
A Fangcun map poster shows that orderly landscape in clean black and white. The town's streets form a compact block of detail, and the farmland around it forms a calm grid of long lines and rectangles, occasionally broken by canals or ponds. It is a quiet, geometric print that suits modern interiors.

Field grid
Around the town, farmland is divided into rectangular plots by straight roads and paths. On the poster they form a regular, almost woven pattern.
Canals and ponds
Irrigation channels and small bodies of water cross the fields in straight or gently curved lines. They add variety to the plain and show how the land is farmed.
