Fudong Map Poster & Print
Fudong lies in the mountainous southwest of Yunnan province, in a region of deep valleys and forested ridges. On the map, the settlement sits where the land briefly levels out. Streets and buildings cluster along a valley floor, and roads leave in tight curves as they climb the surrounding slopes.
In this part of Yunnan, there is little flat land, and the terrain shapes every line. Rivers and streams follow the valley bottoms, and the roads tend to follow them, then switch back up hillsides toward villages on higher ground. Terraced slopes and plantations add fine detail around the edges of the built area.
The Fudong map poster is mostly about terrain: a compact settlement held by the mountains, with a few roads threading in and out. It is a quiet image that suits people who grew up here or who have travelled through Yunnan's southwestern hills and remember how the roads turn.

Switchback roads
Roads leave the settlement in winding lines as they climb the slopes. They draw tight curves that give the map its character.
Streams and slopes
Small watercourses run along the valley bottoms, and cultivated slopes surround the town. Together they add fine, organic lines to the edges of the composition.

ለምን Fudong
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
A map of Fudong is most meaningful to people from the area who now live in Kunming, other Chinese cities or overseas. It captures the particular shape of a valley home without needing any landmarks.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, including with a name in Chinese characters. Five styles are available. Noir and Blueprint emphasise the winding roads, and Paper keeps the image soft and understated.
