Valley ribbon
The town stretches along the valley floor in a long, narrow shape. There is no broad grid, just streets packed along the only level ground.

Gaogu Map Poster & Print
Gaogu is a town in the eastern part of Chongqing municipality, where the land rises into higher, more rugged country toward the provincial borders. Settlements here follow the valleys closely. From above, the town looks like a narrow ribbon of streets along a watercourse or road, pressed between slopes that leave little room for a grid.
The countryside around Gaogu is mountainous and mostly rural, with scattered villages, small fields and forested hillsides. Roads climb in switchbacks and connect the town to its neighbours through long, winding routes. At wider zoom levels the map becomes a network of thin, curving lines across broad empty spaces that suggest the height and steepness of the land.
A Gaogu map poster captures that sense of a settlement shaped by terrain. The town is small in the frame, but the roads around it give the composition movement and depth. It is an understated piece for those with ties to this part of Chongqing, or anyone drawn to mountain places.

Switchback roads
Roads leaving Gaogu climb the slopes in tight bends, creating zigzag lines that stand out clearly in black and white.
Open mountain space
Much of the land around town has few roads. The large blank areas in the print hint at steep, forested terrain that remains largely undeveloped.

ለምን Gaogu
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
Gaogu is a place people leave for work in larger cities but seldom forget. A map of its valley streets and mountain roads keeps a clear picture of home on the wall, far from the hills themselves.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a name, a date or a note. Then choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
