Sector grid
Large numbered sectors bounded by broad roads give the city its modular pattern. Each block has its own internal layout, so the map reads as a mosaic of small, distinct plans.

Gurugram Map Poster & Print
Gurugram, known as Gurgaon until 2016, lies just southwest of Delhi in the state of Haryana. Within a few decades it has grown from a small town surrounded by farmland into one of India's major centres for offices, call centres and new housing, much of it built by private developers rather than a single public plan.
The city is organised into numbered sectors, roughly rectangular blocks separated by wide arterial roads. From above the result is a patchwork: gated housing estates, office campuses, golf courses and shopping malls fitted into a loose grid, while the old town and former village cores show up as tight irregular knots between them.
National Highway 48, the old route from Delhi to Jaipur, runs through the city, and the Cyber City business district lies close beside it. To the east the Aravalli hills rise in low, scrubby ridges. A Gurugram map poster shows a city that was assembled in pieces, where the logic of each sector is clear even if the whole is still being filled in.

NH48 corridor
The highway to Jaipur cuts through the city as a heavy line, with interchanges and flyovers along its length. Much of Gurugram's office growth has clustered on either side of it.
Aravalli ridge
The worn remains of one of the world's oldest mountain ranges rise east of the city. On the poster the ridge appears as open ground where the dense sector grid stops.
