Residential compounds
Large gated housing blocks create a strong rhythm of rectangles across the map, each outlined by roads and filled with a fine grid of internal paths.

Huajing Map Poster & Print
Huajing is a town in the southern part of Xuhui District in Shanghai, on the flat alluvial land that makes up most of the city. From above it is a tight pattern of residential compounds, each block a self-contained rectangle of towers and courtyards, separated by wide arterial roads and threaded with small canals that survive from the area's older landscape.
Unlike the historic lanes further north in Xuhui, the street pattern here is largely recent, shaped by the growth of Shanghai outward over the past decades. Expressways and ring-road connections sit close by, and the Huangpu River lies to the east, giving the wider area its sense of direction.
A Huajing map poster shows a side of Shanghai that visitors rarely see but residents know well: the ordered density of a modern neighbourhood. In black and white, the repeating blocks and thin lines of waterways become a pattern that is surprisingly calm on a wall.

Surviving waterways
Narrow creeks and canals cross the district, remnants of the delta's old water network, and they add gentle curves to an otherwise straight-lined plan.
Arterial roads
Wide avenues and nearby expressway links cut long, confident lines through the town, connecting it to central Xuhui and the rest of Shanghai.

ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
For people who live or grew up in southern Xuhui, the neighbourhood is home even if it is not on any tourist map. A poster of its exact streets is a personal way to mark a first apartment, a family flat or a move abroad.
Add a title, subtitle and coordinates of your choice, perhaps a compound name or a date, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Digital files and printed posters are both available.
