Ighram is a commune in the province of Béjaïa, in the Kabylie region of northern Algeria. It lies on the slopes above the Soummam valley, where the river runs toward the Mediterranean between mountain ranges. Settlement here takes the traditional Kabyle form: villages built along ridgelines, surrounded by olive groves and terraced land.
On a map, the pattern is scattered but deliberate. Clusters of houses sit on high ground, linked by roads that wind along the contours and switch back down the slopes toward the valley. Below, the valley floor is flatter and more connected, with the river and the main routes running through it.
