Iona Map Poster & Print
Iona is an unincorporated community in Lee County, Florida, southwest of Fort Myers. It lies near the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River, where the river widens toward San Carlos Bay and the barrier islands beyond. From above, the landscape is mostly water: canals, lagoons and mangrove shorelines.
The street pattern is typical of coastal southwest Florida. Residential neighbourhoods are laid out around dredged canals, so many streets end in cul-de-sacs or run like fingers into the water, giving houses direct boat access. Larger arterial roads cross the area and connect it with Fort Myers and the route west toward Sanibel.
An Iona map poster turns this intricate meeting of land and water into a striking graphic. The canals form a comb-like pattern, broken by curving natural shorelines and the open expanse of the river, and the monochrome rendering sharpens each edge.

Caloosahatchee mouth
The river opens into a wide estuary nearby, and its broad shape fills part of the print with open water.
Mangrove shorelines
Irregular natural edges along bays and inlets contrast with the straight engineered canals and give the map a softer outline.
