Itaberá is a municipality in the southwest of São Paulo state, in agricultural country toward the border with Paraná. From above the town is a neat, compact grid of streets, typical of many interior Brazilian towns, set among large fields. Roads leave the centre in a few directions and the surrounding land is divided into broad rural plots.
