Kabkābīyah is a town in North Darfur, western Sudan, west of El Fasher and northeast of the Jebel Marra massif. It has long been a local market centre for the surrounding countryside. Herding and rain-fed farming there depend on a short rainy season followed by long dry months.

Compound walls and unpaved lanes make an irregular, fine-grained pattern rather than a formal grid, and the main roads stand out as broader lines cutting through it.
