Caravanserai origins
The town grew around a Seljuk caravanserai on an old trade route, and its position along a major road is still the organising line of the map.

Kadınhanı Map Poster & Print
Kadınhanı is a district town northwest of Konya, set on the broad, level plateau of central Anatolia. From above, the landscape is almost entirely flat, so the town appears as a tidy cluster of blocks with long straight roads running out through farmland. Field boundaries form a faint patchwork around it in every direction.
The town takes its name from a Seljuk-era caravanserai, Kadın Hanı, usually translated as the lady's inn. It was one of the roadside stopping places on the medieval trade routes that crossed this plateau. That history of travel still shows in the map, where the main road forms the spine of the town.
A Kadınhanı map poster is a study in geometry. Without hills or coastline to shape it, the streets follow a mostly regular layout, and the countryside beyond is ruled into rectangles. In black and white the print looks calm and orderly, a small settlement on a wide, open plain.

Plateau grid
On level ground, the streets form a mostly regular pattern of blocks, easy to read from edge to edge and unlike the tangled plans of mountain towns.
Farmland patchwork
Around the town, cultivated fields divide the Konya plain into long straight parcels, giving the outer parts of the poster a fine, textured pattern.

ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
People from Kadınhanı often live far from the plain now, in Konya, Istanbul or abroad. A map of the town, with its clear grid and straight roads, is a simple way to keep that landscape in view.
