Khombole Map Poster & Print
Khombole lies in the Thiès region, inland from Dakar, on the flat sandy plains of Senegal's groundnut basin. From above, the town is a loose grid of sandy streets and walled compounds, denser near the centre and thinning out towards the fields. Main roads pass through it, and the straight line of the old Dakar–Niger railway gives the plan a clear axis.
The land around Khombole is almost entirely farmland, divided into irregular plots and crossed by footpaths and cart tracks. There are no big rivers or hills, so the town's shape comes from its streets, its markets and the transport lines that shaped where people settled.
A Khombole map poster shows a working market town as it really is: practical, spread out and tied to its routes. On paper, the rail line and roads read as firm strokes, the housing blocks as an even texture, and the surrounding plains as open white space reaching to the edge of the frame.

Compound grid
Sandy streets divide the town into blocks of family compounds, laid out more regularly near the centre and looser towards the edges where fields begin.
Groundnut plains
Flat farmland surrounds Khombole in every direction, drawn as open space crossed by tracks that link the town with nearby villages.

ለምን Khombole
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
For people from Khombole or with family roots there, the map is a quiet reminder of home: the familiar streets, the line of the railway, the road out towards Thiès. It works just as well as a simple, honest piece of graphic design.
Personalise the title, add a subtitle with a family name or date, and adjust the coordinates line. Classic black and white keeps the grid crisp, while Paper gives it the warm tone of an old printed map.
