Kim Liên Map Poster & Print
Kim Liên is a commune in the Nam Đàn area of Nghệ An province in north-central Vietnam. It is known across the country as the home of Ho Chi Minh. Sen village, where he spent his early childhood, and Hoàng Trù, the village where he was born, both lie here and draw many visitors each year. On a map, though, the place reads first as countryside.
The villages are clusters of houses and gardens along narrow lanes, set in a patchwork of rice paddies divided by small canals and embankments. Low hills rise nearby, and the Lam river, one of the main rivers of Nghệ An, flows through the wider area. The result is a soft, organic pattern, very different from any city plan.
A Kim Liên map poster captures a landscape of rice fields and village lanes that many Vietnamese people know from photographs and school trips. In black and white, the paddies become a fine mosaic and the villages become small, dense forms. The lanes that join them trace the quiet structure of rural life.

Rice paddy mosaic
Fields divided by embankments and small canals cover much of the map, creating a fine, irregular grid that fills the frame between villages.
Hills and river
Low hills rise near the commune and the Lam river crosses the wider area. Together they set the landscape's natural boundaries and give the map depth.
