Kopawor Map Poster & Print
Kopawor, a name also written as Kupwara in many sources, lies in the north of the Kashmir Valley in Jammu and Kashmir. From above, the town is a cluster of streets on a flat valley floor, surrounded by farmland and framed by mountains that rise on several sides. The flat ground and the steep slopes around it give the map a clear structure.
Streams come down from the higher ground and cross the valley in thin, irregular lines. Roads follow the easiest routes between settlements and often run beside the water. Outside the centre, fields and orchards form a patchwork of small plots, and villages appear as small knots of streets connected by country lanes.
A Kopawor map poster works mostly in contrasts. The town is dense in the middle and loosens toward the edges, while the terrain beyond is marked by watercourses and winding roads rather than grids. It is an understated composition that shows how the settlement fits into its mountain valley.

Mountain streams
Thin watercourses come down from the surrounding heights and cross the map in soft, uneven lines. Many local roads run alongside them through the valley.
Roads into the hills
Routes leaving the town soon start to bend and switch back as they reach higher ground. They show where the valley ends and the mountains begin.
