Old town among channels
The historic centre sits between branches of the Obra, so its edges are water rather than walls. The map shows this as a compact core ringed by thin blue-free lines.

Kościan Map Poster & Print
Kościan is a town in western Greater Poland, south of Poznań, and its map is shaped by water. The Obra river and its channels divide into several branches here, and the historic centre sits on land enclosed by them. From above, the old town shows up as a compact knot of streets around a market square, wrapped by thin lines of water and green banks.
Around that core, the town spreads out in newer residential districts, railway lines and farmland typical of the flat Wielkopolska plain. The contrast is clear on a map: a tight, medieval-scale centre with water all around it, and more open, regular development outside. Bridges and short causeways connect the old town to the rest.
A Kościan map poster makes that island-like centre the focus. Water channels trace the outline, the market square sits at the middle, and the surrounding streets fan out toward the fields. It is a small town with a distinctive plan, and the linework shows how geography decided its shape long before modern growth.

Market square
At the heart of the old town, the square and the short streets leading from it form a tight, regular pattern typical of towns in the region.
Open plain around
Beyond the centre the land is flat and agricultural, so newer districts and roads extend in straighter lines toward the fields.

ለምን Kościan
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
Kościan is a place people carry with them: the square, the bridges over the Obra, the route out to the family farm. Its water-bound centre makes a clear image even at small print sizes, so it works well above a desk or in a kitchen.
