Kunjah is a town in Gujrat District in Pakistan's Punjab, on the fertile plain between the Jhelum and Chenab rivers. From above it has the typical shape of a Punjabi market town. A dense cluster of lanes and closely packed buildings forms the centre, with looser settlement along the roads that leave it. Around the town, the landscape is broken into small agricultural plots.
The countryside here is irrigated farmland, and the pattern of fields, tracks and water channels extends in every direction. Roads connect Kunjah to Gujrat and to the villages around it. The tight core shows how the town grew organically over generations, not according to a modern grid.
