Paraguay River
The broad river curves along the edge of town. It forms a strong band on the print, separating the orderly streets from the open wetland beyond.

Ladário Map Poster & Print
Ladário lies on the right bank of the Paraguay River in Mato Grosso do Sul. It sits immediately east of Corumbá, and the two form one continuous urban area. The town stands on higher ground above the river, and from above its streets form a mostly regular grid that ends at the water's edge. Across the river, the map opens into the vast, flat wetlands of the Pantanal.
Ladário is closely tied to the Brazilian Navy, which has a river base here that serves as headquarters of its Sixth Naval District. That presence gives the waterfront a distinct look on the map, with naval facilities along the bank. The Bolivian border is only a short distance to the west, beyond Corumbá.
A Ladário map poster is unusual because so much of it is water and wetland. The neat grid of streets meets the river, and then the drawing dissolves into channels, lagoons and marsh. In black and white that contrast is striking: a precise human pattern on the edge of one of the largest tropical wetlands in the world.

Street grid
Ladário's streets are laid out in a mostly regular pattern of blocks. They merge seamlessly with Corumbá to the west and give the urban area a firm structure.
Pantanal channels
Across the river, the map fills with the winding channels and lagoons of the Pantanal. These delicate lines turn part of the poster into an almost abstract drawing.

ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
Many people pass through Ladário during naval service or know it through family on the Pantanal frontier. A map records that experience clearly, with the river, the grid and the wetlands stretching away, all in one calm image.
