Lakeside Map Poster & Print
Lakeside is an unincorporated community in eastern San Diego County, about twenty miles inland from the coast. It lies in a broad valley surrounded by dry, chaparral-covered hills. From above, the older centre sits around Lindo Lake, a small lake in a county park that gives the community its name, with residential streets spreading across the valley floor.
The San Diego River runs through the southern part of the area, and State Route 67 heads north from here towards Ramona. Much of Lakeside keeps a semi-rural character, with larger lots, horse properties and winding roads in the hills. The community is also known for its annual rodeo, a reminder of its ranching past.
A Lakeside map poster shows the town between valley and hills: the lake at its centre, the river corridor to the south and roads that loosen into rural lanes towards the edges. It suits long-time residents and anyone who knows East County beyond the coastal cities.

San Diego River
The river runs across the south of Lakeside through a broad, green corridor. Its soft, meandering line contrasts with the grid of streets nearby.
Semi-rural edges
Towards the hills, streets get longer and more widely spaced, with winding roads and large lots. The map thins out gradually into open chaparral.
