Lamont Map Poster & Print
Lamont lies in Kern County, California, southeast of Bakersfield, on the flat southern end of the San Joaquin Valley. Its map is dominated by straight lines: a regular grid of residential streets, long rural roads running north and south, and square agricultural plots that stretch out toward the horizon on every side.
The valley here is one of the most productive farming regions in the country, and Lamont has long been a community of farmworkers and growers. The surrounding land is divided into large, regular fields, with irrigation canals and farm roads cutting across them in clean, measured patterns.
A Lamont map poster turns that agricultural geometry into a graphic composition. The town forms a denser block in the centre, while the fields around it create a wide, orderly frame. It is a meaningful piece for families who have lived and worked in the valley, often across several generations.
