Mari is a municipality in the state of Paraíba, in north-eastern Brazil, in the humid agricultural belt west of the coast around João Pessoa. The town is compact. A few principal streets carry most of the traffic, and around them are blocks of single-storey houses that fit the gentle rise and fall of the land.
