Marijampolė Map Poster & Print
Marijampolė is the main town of Suvalkija, in the flat, farmed southwest of Lithuania. The Šešupė river runs through it in a series of wide bends. From above, the town spreads along both banks, with the older centre near the river and later residential districts in blocks and courtyards further out.
The town takes its name from a monastery of the Marian Fathers established here in the eighteenth century. Its basilica is associated with Blessed Jurgis Matulaitis, which makes the town a place of pilgrimage. Today the Via Baltica route runs past it, linking Poland with the Baltic capitals.
A Marijampolė map poster traces the river's curves through the street pattern and shows green banks and parkland along the water. The regular post-war housing blocks add a crisp geometric layer. In monochrome, the soft river shape and the orderly districts make a balanced, readable print.

Basilica and centre

Via Baltica corridor
The international road passes the town as a long, confident line. It connects Marijampolė with Kaunas to the north and the Polish border to the south.
