Messica is a town in Manica Province, in the green uplands of central Mozambique near the border with Zimbabwe. On a map, the town takes its shape from the main road that crosses the province. Buildings and side streets line the route, and farmland and hills open out behind them.
The road is part of the Beira corridor, a transport link from the port on the Indian Ocean inland towards Zimbabwe. Messica lies between the larger towns of Chimoio and Manica.
