Mölnlycke is the seat of Härryda Municipality, just southeast of Gothenburg. From above, the town sits in a landscape of lakes and forested hills. Residential streets curve around the terrain, and the lake Rådasjön lies close to the centre. The railway and main road run through a valley toward the city.
The town grew around a textile mill founded in the nineteenth century. That mill later gave its name to Mölnlycke Health Care, now an international medical products company. Today Mölnlycke is mainly a residential town for people working in Gothenburg, with easy access to the lakes and forest trails around it.
A Mölnlycke map poster shows the characteristic West Swedish mix of water, woodland and winding suburban streets. The rounded lake shapes and the curving roads between them make a soft, organic composition that looks calm on the wall.
