Mollet del Vallès lies in the Vallès Oriental comarca of Catalonia, about twenty kilometres north of Barcelona. On a map, it's a compact and dense town, with an older centre of narrow streets surrounded by blocks of flats built during the industrial growth of the twentieth century.
