Road and rail axes
The Chandigarh–Ludhiana road and the railway line cut across the town. They are the two strongest lines on the poster and set the direction of much of the surrounding street pattern.

Morinda Map Poster & Print
Morinda is a town in the Rupnagar district of Punjab, a short drive west of Chandigarh on the broad, level plain that stretches across the state. With almost no hills to shape it, the town takes its form from its transport lines. A main road, a railway and the smaller streets growing out from them define the plan.
The road between Chandigarh and Ludhiana passes through Morinda and a railway line crosses the town, giving the map two strong axes. Markets and residential lanes sit around them. At the edges are the rectangular fields found across Punjab farmland. On paper these field lines make a soft, regular texture around the denser centre.
Morinda has an important place in Sikh history. Gurdwara Kotwali Sahib marks the site where Mata Gujri and the two younger Sahibzadas were held after being betrayed in the early 1700s. A Morinda map poster can carry that meaning for Sikh families. It also records the everyday geography of a working farm town on the plains.

Gurdwara Kotwali Sahib
This gurdwara stands on a historic site linked to Mata Gujri and the younger Sahibzadas, which gives the town an importance well beyond its size.
Field patterns
Outside the built-up area, the map turns into the regular geometry of Punjab farmland. Straight field boundaries and rural roads spread evenly across the flat plain.
