Mushin is one of the older and most densely populated districts of mainland Lagos. It sits in the middle of the metropolis, between Surulere, Yaba and Ikeja, and several of the city's main arterial roads and rail lines pass through or along it. For many Lagosians it is a place of markets, workshops and busy street life.
