Nantai Map Poster & Print
Nantai lies in the south of Liaoning province in north-eastern China, on the broad, flat plain of the lower Liao River basin, between Anshan and the Bohai coast. The land here is almost level, and that shows in the map: roads run in long straight lines, and the town's street network has an orderly, rectangular character.
Around the built-up area the landscape is agricultural, divided into large rectangular fields crossed by tracks and irrigation channels. Main roads and rail lines running through this part of Liaoning pass close by, and their long, uninterrupted lines stand out against the smaller field boundaries.
This is a working landscape rather than a scenic one, and its appeal from above lies in its geometry. A Nantai map poster turns the town and its surroundings into a pattern of straight lines and even blocks, clearly organised and quite unlike the winding streets of a hill or river town.

Rectangular fields
Farmland around the town is divided into large rectangles separated by tracks and channels, a fine, even pattern around the built-up area.
Transport corridors
Main roads and rail lines cross the plain in long unbroken lines, framing the town and linking it to the larger cities of Liaoning.
